Misio
misio@elitecomputing.com

I was born in September 1992.  Been referred to on occasion as a 1992 version Rottweiler.  Seems kind of strange but they say I was born in a good year.   Before all the "troubles" started.  I graduated from Dog Obedience School back in 1993 and am proud to say that I occasionally get the pleasure of scarring the heck out of people when they walk past my fence or down my Prairie Path.

I'm the CEO of The Dog House.  A few years back, 'My Lady used to get up every morning, pat me on the head and say. . . "Got to go make money for the dog house."   And away she'd go at such a wee hour,  not to return again for what seemed like a million dog years.  When she returned, she always smelled the same....like The Bank.  I knew that because I had visited her there a couple of times.  She was some kind of big shot there, but I really didn't understand.

After a while, though,  it really got monotonous.  Especially when we found out about restrictions for our vacations.  No more going anywhere for two weeks where there wasn't a phone handy.  A PHONE.  Gee, we had a four wheel drive vehicle just itching to get up the side of that mountain, but we had to be near A PHONE.  It sure seemed like she worked so much that whatever it is she was doing for The Bank she should be doing for herself.  I kept dropping hints the best I could.  But leaving dog food on her side of the bed so that she'd step on it when she got up in the morning just wasn't getting the message across.

Then one day, 'My Lady came home from The Bank and said . . . "Guess what I did today. . . " and my life was changed.  'My Lady finally figured out a way that she could spend more time with me and my Best Buddy,  Bear.  We all sat down and came up with a plan of action to start The Dog House and haven't quite planning yet.   You know that's the CEO's job, to plan for the future of the company with vision and leadership.  And to HAVE FUN!!!   But, one of my all time favorite things is to continue searching for just the right solution to your Internet needs.

Well, it happened again. People say this happens all the time so I better get used to it.  But you know what, life changing events are never easy, they just happen.

October 1996 to April 1998.
Rest in Peace Our Beloved Friend . . .
we look forward to seeing you again at the Rainbow Bridge!!

Hi, I am Bear.  Sometimes referred to as "Radio" for my quick and agile response.  I've been around a lot longer than Misio, since October of 1986.  Have traveled quite a bit across this great country of ours. Even been to Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Watched the fire show at The Mirage and have walked the strip from one end to the other.  Sited Elvis on several street corners.  Even went for a swim in Lake Mead and climbed the big red rocks at "Valley of Fire".  You can call me a Well Traveled Bear.

When 'My Lady quit that stuffy bank gig, it was decided that all of us should "put our assets to work".  We had several positions to fill . . .CEO, CFO, President, Director of Marketing and Development and of course a whole slew of web designers. After carefully listing each of our assets and liabilities, it was determined that I should be the CFO.

Well, you may be thinking that CFO stands for Chief Financial Officer.  In most organizations it would.  But, not at The Dog House. CFO stands for Chief Fetching Officer. Yep, that's right.  Kind of like a gopher except that CFO is more politically correct.  It's my job to go and get this, and go and get that.  In between, I get to pursue my all time favorite activity . . . SLEEPING.   Just like George Washington (or Bill Clinton), I've slept in numerous places.  The only difference is that nobody put a plaque up that says "Bear slept here".

Cu-Culann (coo-cul-an)

My name is Cu-Culann. I am the newest addition to The Dog House. . . the Old English Mastiff in charge of the Original Equipment Manufacturer Division.  That means I am in charge of the division that builds our Homegrown PC desktops and servers for our clients.

My expertise is growing, literally.  When I first joined The Dog House, I was a mere 17 pounds.  Most computers weighed more than I did. At the young age of five months, I am just under 75 pounds.  My goal is to be twice as big a Misio or about 200 pounds. At the same time, grow the OEM Division of Elite Computing Company.  I have a human sidekick that helps turn the screws, keeps me from drooling on the inside of the equipment and putting teeth marks on the CD-Roms.

I look forward to and invite you to watch me grow along with The Dog House.

I woke up one day to find myself the "Information Specialist".  Someone who knows how to get the data out of  the computer in the format that the user of the information wants.  Reports, Reports, Reports formatted in a million different ways.  Not to different from Pages, Pages, Pages, formatted in a million colorful ways.

Andrew Janikowski

Bssp!. He said when I asked him about this biography.   I said "What?"  Bssp!.  It's a funny sound.  A sound of discust can be noted in the Bssp! sound. You see, Andrew is not used to telling people anything about himself.  That because he is a former Counter Insurgency and Anti-Terrorism expert. And being that kind of expert makes you kind of leary of  telling people about yourself.  Primarily because you never know WHO you are talking to. But, I told him that the people who would be reading this are more interested in some of his other skills.  Like, his computer, business and marketing skills.

Andrew's experience with computers dates all the way back to pre desktop.  Yes, there was a time when the thought of having a computer on your desk was a reason for laughter in the isles.  We always laugh and say we have more computing power on our desktop today that would have filled a single huge room not too many years ago. He started his computer career running the Rapid Access Information Center at his local high school. This was pretty sophiscated stuff back then.  It allowed you to run still video and audio braodcasts.  And the tapes could be retrieved via any telephone.  From there he continued to mainframes. Over the years, Andrew has worked with IBM System III running RPG III on a IBM 760 and 780 system, PDP 10 and PDP 11 systems in a  mainframe master/slave environment and the good old UNIVAC 1174.  Which was then upgraded through the 1180 series and the really  COOL 1190 water cooled systems. About that time is when Andrew saw the introduction of the desktop.

Andrew, by then,  had also gained his aforementioned expertise and formed his own company.  Traveling from place to place around the world.  Putting his expertise to work in some of the most beautiful parts of the world and in some the most inhostpitable parts of the world.  His experiences has brought him to be a true believer in our constitutional rights, as US citizens,  to be FREE.   Something that he will tell you the average American is too willing to give up these days.

Believe it or not, traveling from place to place became weary.  And the business began to change as the climate in the country changed toward the gun and the gun industry.    Andrew decided it was time to round out his education and returned to school at DePaul University. Concentrating on Electronic Communications and Commerce on the Internet. His expertise has now become the electronic communication mediums of the Internet, Intranet, Extranet and VPNs.

The Dog House is please to have Andrew on our staff as he brings years of experience in business, computers, security, information handling and all around smarts.

Our Philosophy

The Dog House looks at an Internet web site as an extension of your business and image. There is nothing we enjoy more than getting to know your business and then develop a web site around that image. We often equate opening a web site with opening a new office or branch in a foreign country.  If you chose to open an office in Japan,  you would want to make sure that you understood the language and the customs of Japan.  The same is true for the Internet. Like any foreign country, you need a guide with the knowledge to help you navigate the numerous options and choices that are available on the Internet.

Because we build sites in this way, we look our client relationships as long term.  Our most difficult job is to get our clients to SLOW down, not to spend their whole budget up front. You'll  hear us tell clients things like . . ."Get your feet wet first." . . . Development of a web site does not happen over night. . . Marketing and promotion is just as important as building the site itself. . . .Take the time to understand what the Internet is really about and how it applies to your business. . . .If you are going to make the financial commitment to the project, make sure you make the time commitment as well.
