Clearinghouse for Subject-Oriented Internet Resource Guides - Highly rated and respected resource; ordered by topic.
DejaNews Research Service - Information utility for searching archived Usenet news.
Excite - Search the Internet via keyword or concept.
Federal Web Locator - Search engine for locating U.S. Federal government information.
Four11 - An Internet White Pages directory.
GovBot - An index of Web pages from U.S. Government and Military sites around the United States.
HotBot - Provides a quick Internet search by all words entered, any of the words entered, phrase, person or url.
InfoSeek Net Search - Searches may include newsgroups, Usenet FAQs and reviewed sites.
InfoSpace - Comprehensive directory of the Internet with access to people, email, yellow pages, blue pages, toll-free numbers, and businesses.
LawCrawler - Search engine that provides concurrent searching of U.S., federal, and legal terms against a number of governmental and legal Internet sites.
Lycos - Internet search which contains a large number of references to binary files in its database, including gif, jpeg, wav and mpeg files.
Magellan (McKinley) - Lists by subject or search via search engine. Entries are ranked for quality using a one-star to five-star rating system.
MetaCrawler - A metasearch engine that performs simultaneous searches on other Web search engines and then combines the results into one list.
NetFirst - From OCLC. A professionally abstracted and indexed database of Internet sites.
New Rider's WWW Yellow Pages - The more keywords you supply, the more relevant the search results will be.
Open Text - Offers a weighted search that orders the results based on the weight you assign to each search term.
Starting Point Search Engine - Metasearch by keyword or small number of topics.
Switchboard - Search access to millions of individual and business phone numbers and addresses within the U.S.
Web Crawler - Returns the title of the web page, but without a summary or description.
Yahoo - Keyword driven, subject oriented search service.
World Wide Yellow Page s - Search for businesses (tends to be very slow).
